Hi Sally
Malcolm mentioned your opp and said you wouldn't be at running club for a while. Hope you a feeling better soon. I'm hoping to visit Ernest Leng (who's one of my customers) tomorrow on route to help set up the course in Dalby so if you are around and you are up for a visitor and you read this in time give me a call on 07770446940. No worries if not I'll catch up with you soon hopefully. Take Care. Caroline.
Well I survived Victoria Docks in London and managed to keep my matching pink nail varnish in perfect condition throughout! No PB I'd afraid, mainly due to the extremely long transition area (the whole length of London Excel!!). Sir Richard Branson sponsored the event and also did the swim section himself (bet there's not many of you can say you competed against him?) His daughter Holly and son Sam also took part. Holly came second in the ladies but Sam didn't manage to do the run?? Stacey Soloman was there also but don't know how she did.
Well, I have to say I was a bit lonely yesterday. PRC Tri Team's Tess, Steve and Pete all deserted me in favour of some other gruelling training sessions no doubt. Anyway, despite the shabby nail varnish (couldn't be bothered seen as there was no one there to appreciate it), hence, the leftovers from Keswick was still on my toe nails.....I really wasn't myself without the rest of the gang.
Anyway, I'm pleased to report that I got a PB and beat my last years overall time by 11 minutes!! My total time this year was 3hours 20 mins and 44 seconds.
As I haven't run on a Tuesday for ages I'm afraid I've forgotten what time to meet? Is there anybody out there who can help me? Also, where is Flyte House? I know where Welburn is....That's a good start! I know where the pub is....obviously!!

Just a bit of advice from one of my customers. He has bought a pair of Yaktrax Pro's and he says they are brilliant for running on ice. 'Best £20 he's spent this year!' Sorry I missed the York run. It's just one thing after another with me at the moment. Got back from egypt (survived the sharks) but had a tummy bug. Then hurt my back 3 days after I got back. Then had a bit of a flue type bug. Hadn't done any expercise except scuba diving for 6 weeks. Went for a 30minute run on Sunday though. Off skiing on Monday so will be in touch when I get back.
Having just checked the run list I think the York run on the 16th Dec is looking very promising for me. And maybe the boxing day one at Coneysthorpe (family commitments permitting?? My youngest son Ben is now a jump jockey and therefore if he's riding anywhere near I'll be going to watch....hope its Wetherby!! He's only 17 and he's had 4 rides so far. He came 2nd at Newcastle on Friday!!! Very proud mum was there watching!!!!!Very exciting. And Harvey Smith......yes the very famous showjumper (and my childhood hero) legged him up. Ben rides for him and his wife Sue.
Hi, I've been reading about all the fun you've all been having while I've been resting my torn calf muscle! (10 days rest so far). Its on the mend now though so I'll be doing a bit of light excercise over the next week. Then I'm off on my hols to Egypt scuba diving next Friday!! To my Triathlon friends - I hope to be back at Ampleforth on a Wednesday night after my hols. And to everyone else - I'll try and get across for a run one Thursday night (I'm missing you all very much...especially Malcolm). See you all soon. Caroline.
Well done to Tess, Pete, Steve and myself for managing to enter the Keswick tri this morning! That's half the battle done then. Entries only opened this am and its a third full already!! Come on the rest of you......it's very popular....your don't know what you're missing!?!?! I was spinning at 6.30 am followed by a swim. Thought I'd start my training a bit earlier this time! Caroline.
Ditto to all the good comments already made. We had a great time in particular watching the unusual dancing which really is entertaining when you are watching it sober!!- Malc have you been giving out lessons? The band was fantastic. They are all very talented indeed. (Ian plays guitar and played in a band for a while and he said they were excellent! He was very taken with the fretless base guitar.) food fab, company fab, poetry fab. well done selling the raffle tickets £5 a strip and worth every penny. Thanks to all involved in the hard work organizing and on the evening.
