Aaargh – another (minor) birthday looms, can’t believe how quickly they come round.
The good news though is that Tim will be rolling up his sleeves, bashing out some dough and making pizzas again (this has become a bit of a family tradition)!
So if you’re free on Saturday 4 Feb, do come round and help us eat them all (say... 7.30pm onwards?).
I rather nice red buff seems to have crawled into my bag from somewhere - must have been at or after the nav. course. Please let me know if its yours...Philly
Does anyone at the Malton/Norton end fancy lift-sharing to Scarborough tomorrow night? Guess we'll need to leave by 6.30 or so... Im happy to cadge a lift or to drive. Let me know? Thanks, Philly
The entry form is now up see http://swaledaleoutdoorclub.org.uk/swaledale-marathon/entries/entry-form.html - worth getting it in quick I gather - Philly

I wont be running on Tuesday or Thursday this week coz of family stuff, so wish you all a lovely Christmas, and look forward to seeing some of you at the Boxing Day run from Coneysthorpe.
Big thanks to Steve H and Mike W for organising such a brilliant weekend - loads of fresh air and gorgeous remote landscape. Infinitely better than Christmas shopping! Also to Mike H, Sarah R, Tess and Lorraine for their great company, food and wine.
The hostel in Greenhead is a great find - cheap, cheerful, good location and friendly hosts - and we are hoping to have a big PRC weekend there next year some time if people are keen
Piccie attache (I hope!) - Philly
Good luck to all the Omnipotent OMM'ers, Dubious Dubliners and Top-drawer Three Toppers this weekend...

Does anyone fancy doing a recce with me of the next winter fell race route i.e. Guisborough Three Tops (8.7 miles or thereabouts)? Id like to do it beforehand if possible as the route looks a bit worrying - some of it is basically ' take any route you like'. Not so easy when you're not familiar with the area....
The map is on http://www.eskvalleyfellclub.org/race_routes/gbro_three_tops_map.htm
For some reason I cannot send anything on the club blog. This is what I have been trying to write (4th attempt). The dinner dance is at The Old Lodge on 17 December (& for 7.30). Price is £25.95 per person payable by either cash, cheque or BACS to me or Peter Winter. I need menu choice and full payment for a booking. The menu chices are.
Home made soup & fresh bread
Fan of melon with Parma ham and kiwi fruit
As usual, the club has been allocated one place for the London Marathon next April (fee £28, paid by the runner)
If you are a fully paid up club member; have entered but failed in the ballot this year; and also have never run the London Marathon before, you are eligible for this place. Please let me know by the end of October. If there is more than one person eligible - or none- we will agree on a fair way to decide who will get it.
Thanks, Philly
