The Cleveland Search and Rescue Teams`(soon to change to Mountain Rescue)-www.csrt.org-"Cleveland Survival"on 24th march is another navigational challenge of about 25m "somewhere on the Nth.Yk.Moors".You run in teams of 2, are notified of the start location 2 weeks beforehand and only receive the route after actually starting which you note down and then get going. There`s no mass start ,teams are set off in small groups.Again ,this event might fit the bill for anyone wanting an off-road marathon type event ,similar to the Swaledale (but both events are smaller in participant numbers than Swaledale). However, self navigation is an important part of it and GPS is not allowed! But remember,"2 heads are always better than one even if they`re sheeps heads!".Unfortunately it`s the same weekend as Blakey Blitz.
